A Little About Our Beginnings & Growth
Maddens Transfer and Storage was founded by William F. Madden, Sr. in 1914 when storage and offices were located at the former “New" Curling Rink in Saranac Lake. In the 70's, Maddens added climate-controlled storage in the historic Tousley building on Main Street. In the 80's, they added numerous self-storage units and a large warehouse at their 53 Edgewood road location. Currently run by William F. Madden III, the business now offers shipping containers for storage on your site, our ours. Containers are also available for sale. The warehouse is used for temporary holding of freight, furnishings, cars, and boats. Bill is a class A driver and is able (and loves to) to operate every type of machinery from forklifts, tractors and cranes to big rigs.
